Hearts of Fire
Hearts of Fire: Eight Women in the Underground Church and Their Stories of Costly Faith
Paperback. 224 Pages
Eight women from eight very different backgrounds. Yet the struggles they each faced rang with eerie similarity. These courageous women from across the globe-Pakistan, India, Romania, Former Soviet Union, China, Vietnam, Nepal, Indonesia-shared similar experiences of hardship, subjugation, and persecution, all because of their faith in Christ. Yet all of these women have emerged from adversity as leaders and heroines.
The eight modern-day pilgrims featured in "Hearts of Fire" are the hidden jewels in the church universal. They are worthy role models of faith and passion, and women of every age will gain new strength and hope for their own times of crisis and trial as they read these inspiring stories. Each story concludes with thoughtful self-reflection questions for the reader.
This book has given me life! I'm so thankful that I came across this book because it was so inspirational. Every story, every testimony of each woman - their courage, bravery and overall commitment to God moved me page after page! I pray over their protection and that they continue to do God's work and that it carries on generations after them. I encourage anyone that buys this book to "Pay it forward" and allow others to be inspired by this book.

Very good but I had to stop reading at times due to crying. These women endured so much pain (phyiscal and emotional), torture, and loss yet held true to their faith and beliefs. It made me reflect on my faith, and how lucky I am to have freedom to worship God with out fear of punishment or death. It is a wonderful gift we have that many times is taken for granted.
