"The heart of the prudent acquires knowledge,
And the ear of the wise seeks knowledge."
(Proverbs 18:15)
Learning to read and write are among the most foundational of all learning tools. Generations’ English 2 course is designed to make the process both effective and enjoyable. Written through the lens of a Biblical worldview, this 36-week, second-grade English course builds a strong foundation in spelling, grammar, and writing.
Through engaging daily activities, your child will gain essential language skills including spelling and vocabulary, sentence structure, grammar, and writing. By the end of the course, your child will have a solid understanding of grammar principles and will be well prepared to move on to a third-grade English curriculum. This course contains 108 lessons, each taking 15–20 minutes to complete. The course assigns just three lessons per week, so that the student is not overwhelmed as they progress through the material.
Education is about more than just learning grammar rules and spelling words. These are the means to a greater end. The goal is to know God, to be able to read His Word, and to learn how to use language to serve Him and others. For this reason, this curriculum incorporates Scripture alongside other common words to orient the learning of English around the most important words: the very Words of God.
