The Story of Freedom traces the remarkable history of liberty through 2,000 years of Christian influence — from the early church to the Magna Carta, from William Wallace and the Scottish fight for independence to the Dutch struggle for liberty under William the Silent, the battle for religious freedom in the 17th century, and America’s War for Independence and Bill of Rights.

This is more than a history book.

It is a call to recover a biblical understanding of freedom before it is lost to the next generation.

This unique introduction to American history provides a survey of important events in American history, while digging deep into the real lives of the people who were there. Here you will find 27 vignettes of great American lives, all portraits of American faith. In God's good providence, He uses men and women of the faith to accomplish remarkable things. America carved out liberties unlike many other nations, thanks to godly men and women. When we see instances of faith in these lives, it is for us to recognize them and point them out to our children. They are examples for us (Romans 15:4, 1 Corinthians 10:6), and we will do well to learn from them.
